Intake of folic acid is important for every woman who is opting to get pregnant. Through this treatment process,

bones of the baby. In order to get extra calcium, at least three extra servings of milk or dairy products are
required. If the mother or woman is lactose intolerant, she can still get the extra calcium through intake of dairy
products that are low in lactose or reduced-lactose. In some scene, physicians would prescribe calcium supplement
to the mother.
Sodium is also an important dietary source during pregnancy as it helps to regulate water in the body of the
mother. At least 2,000-8,000 milligrams of sodium every day is recommended for pregnant women. Since almost all
foods contain sodium, the dosage above is not difficult to achieve. It is recommended for pregnant women to drink
plenty of fluids especially water since the blood volume of women during pregnancy increases dramatically. At least
eight glasses of water should be intake to prevent common problems of constipation and dehydration.
Although additional nutrients are needed to keep the baby healthy, it does not necessarily mean that the mother
can eat twice as much. At least 300 calories every day is recommended for a pregnant mother. Ensure a restrict diet
